What a crazy time it is right now in the world! Many people are losing their jobs, many are filled with fear, anxiety, and uncertainty of what the future will be like after dealing with this unforeseen pandemic of COVID-19.

It’s so easy to give in to these feelings when we are presented with such a great giant in front of us.  But the beautiful gift of being children of God is that we can rest in His promises to receive peace, security and joy in times of adversity.

I want to share 3 scriptures that I am actively meditating on to get through this crisis we all are experiencing together:

Hebrews 13:5-6: “…For He [God] Himself has said ‘I will never leave you nor forsake you.’ So we may boldly say: ‘The Lord is my helper; I will not fear, What can man do to me?”

Psalm 37:7: “Be still in the presence of the Lord, and wait patiently for him to act.”

Isaiah 26:3: “You will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.”

These scriptures have been a breath of fresh air for me in this time.  It reminds me to slow down, spend time in God’s presence and let him work!  He surely is our helper, so there’s no need to fear!  It reminds me that God isn’t sleeping on His throne, but in fact He’s aware of what’s happening and promises that He will never leave us nor forsake us.  I’m reminded that the peace that I long to feel amidst chaos also depends on my mind being fixed on God as I trust Him wholeheartedly.

I encourage you to meditate on these 3 scriptures throughout the day and take an active stance to fix your mind on God and to trust and believe that He is with us, even at our lowest moments.  Invite Jesus into your now and rest in the stillness of His presence.

At the end of this newsletter, you’ll find a cover I did of a song called “Here Again!”  It encourages us to invite Jesus to meet us where we are and reminds us that He is with us.  Take a listen as you spend time with our Beautiful Savior.

He loves you and He is with you through this time!  Love you all!

Prayer:

Father, I know you see all that is happening in the world at this time.  I pray that you would eradicate all fear, anxiety, hopelessness, and depression through the power of Jesus Christ.  I pray that you give your children the strength to actively fix their thoughts on you to experience your overwhelming peace.  God, may the world find you through this time and know that you are Lord of All and are in control.  Thank you for reminding us that you are with us and will never forsake us. I pray this in the wonderful name of Jesus Christ.  Amen!
